Numbers are everywhere, but which ones are important for you to know? Here are some relevant numbers that might give you that extra motivation to enrich your business with a website or webshop.

Internet access

In 2019, in the Netherlands 97% of the inhabitants of 12 years and older had access to the internet. In Spain, in the same year, 91.4% of the households had internet access. This means that, instead of reaching just the people who live nearby and find you by coincidence or because they have heard from you, you can reach almost everyone in the country and outside. Isn’t that amazing?

In 2018, in the Netherlands 54.3% of the inhabitants of 12 years and older could access the internet with a PC or desktop and 83.3% with a laptop. Another 71% had access to the internet with a tablet, and 92.1% with a mobile phone or smartphone. This means that, when developing a website, is is really important to make it adaptable to mobile devices.
